Meet the Landscape Designers
DAVID KOPFMANN
David started Yardscapes, Inc. in 1974 and continues to be the lead designer. David enjoys both new construction and remodels projects. He has the ability to envision a beautiful entertaining space or front entry before construction has even begun. David’s most rewarding projects have happened on his 10 acres, where the business started, and still remains his home today.
CLAYTON JOHNSON
Clayton has been designing unique and creative projects with Yardscapes since 1999. His precision and clean lines are a great attribute to his landscape designs and installations. If you have an existing property or new construction, Clayton is great at blending old with new. Clayton enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and three children.
JOSH RAJDL
Josh graduated from NDSU in 2013 and quickly began his career with Yardscapes during the Spring of 2014. He has been a great addition to our design team with his acute skills to hone in on every detail. Josh is our tech guy. He can quickly open any software and navigate it with ease. When Josh isn’t at Yardscapes, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, usually building something or fishing!

Yardscapes’ has over 50 years of design / installation experience along with countless years of field experience, working with specialty installations. Our installation crews are comprised of well-trained professionals who have worked for years together. This combination of experience and expertise places us in a prime position to offer the best in all aspects of design and implementation.
Our focus is on the design and installation of custom residential outdoor spaces and environments. We combine art + science to create a unique project for every client. Each project can be constructed with a combination of natural stone and other hardscapes elements, a variety of plant materials, water features, patios, retaining walls, lighting, custom pools, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and fire pits. With the proper combination of natural elements; your personal natural environment can be created.
Yardscapes’ is celebrating over 40 years as an Associates of Landscape Architecture for doing residential design / installation projects. As an award winning company and member of the Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association, Yardscapes continues to be active in Parade of Homes tours and Midwest Home Luxury Home Tour on an annual basis.
