Okay let’s be real you DON’T NEED a BIG YARD to fit in all of the LUXURIES you deserve! Sometimes it’s even better to have a more approachable space to navigate. I put together several projects that we have worked on with clients that have a smaller footprint, but the end results are perfect! Let’s dig in…

We blended what was existing with a few new elements for the intimate pool and patio. A new vinyl pool was installed after a house fire that destroyed the original and a limestone patio.

This home was only utilizing their small raised deck and need more room for entertaining. We blended 2 spaces with upgrading the raised deck with a raised wall/planter/more seating with steps leading down to a bluestone patio and raised fire feature.

This new construction home was on a lot with very few mature trees and required a shaded area for entertaining. We created a limestone raised deck off of the screen porch and kitchen area with a wood pergola for shade.

We designed this outdoor kitchen into the grade of the backyard, which is constructed with boulders and mortared Chilton stone for retaining the dirt. We wanted it to feel like you were in someone’s living room, but outdoors with the fully stocked kitchen and large fire feature.

This quaint Edina, MN remodel needed a yard transformation, which included this beautiful custom built pergola with additional wall seats and custom vinyl pool and bluestone patio.

Lakeside entertaining is a must with setting! We created a bluestone patio for both conversation and having a meal with a custom concrete gas fire feature.

This bluestone patio addition was a must for additional seating and enjoying the sun among all the colorful plants!

We created this lower level outdoor space for a new hot tub the homeowner purchase, but didn’t want it as an eye-sore. We decided to build it into the granite boulder walls to make it feel like it was built in. The additional patio space is also used for more seating and entertaining.

This is a great example of a private backyard in the middle of the city, but it doesn’t feel like it! We have updated the plant material and plant screenage to help with the privacy. (*Note: We can’t take credit for the pool and existing patio – we will be updated this backyard in phases).

This remodeled Minneapolis Lakes home wanted to utilize their front porch, so we helped by creating an open seating patio with a raised planter wall and custom metal water feature to muffle the vehicle noise.

This courtyard front entrance was created as an escape as much as the lakeside patio. It is nestled in the U-shape architecture of the home with multiple different walkways using mixed materials.

Entertainers Dream in this compact space! We created a space between the home and garage with a custom concrete dipping pool, gas fire feature, an outdoor tv and a place to dine on a bluestone patio.

Another Minneapolis, MN Lakes Home with a small side courtyard utilizing the space so well for entertaining with custom metal dinning table and chairs, gas fire feature on wheels, and an area to sun in loungers . We updated the patio surface with a tumbled limestone and added a basalt limestone water feature for muffling the neighborhood noises.

This charming Edina, MN modern remodel required an updated deck, railing, and landscaping to match. We did a take on minimal plantings to mimic the new style of the home.

This backyard butts up to the alley and needed security and screenage added, so we created a custom metal fence and gate after completing the newly remodeled backyard patio and deck.

We needed to come up with a creative way to block the driveway at this Edina, MN home. We designed and installed this large custom fire feature to act as the screenage along the driveway. Along with the new limestone patio surface, we were able to squeeze in a putting green as well!
This is a small glimpse at what we have designed and installed over the past 50 years, but I hope it has opened your eyes and mind to what can be done in a small space! If you have any questions or would like us to look at your space, give us a call or email!
